Mandrake 10.0 - Graphical desktop/WindowMaker

bubblemon	1.41	GPL	WindowMaker dockapp CPU, memory, swap and load average monitor	This is a system monitoring dockapp, visually based on the GNOME "BubbleMon" applet. Basically, it displays CPU and memory load as bubbles in a jar of water. But that is where similarity ends. New bubblemon-dockapp features translucent CPU load meter (for accurate CPU load measurement), yellow duck swimming back and forth on the water surface (just for fun), and fading load average and memory usage screens. Either of the info screens can be locked to stay on top of water/duck/cpu screen, so that you can see both statistics at once. Pretty nifty toy for your desktop. Code has been thoroughly optimized since version 1.0, and even with all the features compiled in, BubbleMon still uses very little CPU time. All the extra "bloated" features can be compiled out or disabled on command-line, if you prefer original "BubbleMon" look.

WindowMaker	0.80.2	GPL	A window manager for the X Window System	Window Maker is an X11 window manager which emulates the look and feel of the NeXTSTEP (TM) graphical user interface. It is relatively fast, feature rich and easy to configure and use. Window Maker is part of the official GNU project, which means that Window Maker can interoperate with other GNU projects, such as GNOME. Window Maker allows users to switch themes 'on the fly,' to place favorite applications on either an application dock, similar to AfterStep's Wharf or on a workspace dock, a 'clip' which extends the application dock's usefulness.

This information, presented in a nice visual format, can be invaluable on laptops (as I have found in my recent/continual travels as a Field Engineer for a small computer hardware manufacturer). WMAPM currently provides: * Status of power supply (battery or AC); * Percentage of battery remaining (numeric and meter); * Battery charging status; * Time left to battery depletion; * High/Low/Critical battery status (Red/Yellow/Green);
wmcoincoin	2.4.6	GPL	WindowMaker dock application for linuxfr-addicted people	Funny dockapp for browsing DaCode sites news and board WMcoincoin allows you to browse linuxfr.org, and any other site based on DaCode 1.2+. It handles: * the website news scrolling, warning of new ones, and with an ability to display them in a window; * the private messages, bringing to the appropriate webpage when you receive new ones; * tabbed browsing of multiple DaCode or Templeet sites; * the board, with ability to view the contents and post messages, featuring advanced functions designed to detect, enhance or kill the trolls. WMcoincoin, while being full of stupid things, is a real advanced chatting client, working all over HTTP, with a low bandwidth consumption.
wmcpuload	1.0.1	GPL	WindowMaker dock application that displays CPU usage	A dockapp to monitor cpu load for WindowMaker. It works fine with AfterStep and BlackBox and has SMP support.
wmdf	0.1.5	GPL	An app to monitor disk IO and available space on partitions	An app to monitor disk usage,the app makes use of the OS filesystem info and partition info functions so is very low on the CPU usage scale. It allows you to toggle the mount point with scrolling information about the disk usage and free space etc.
wmfire	0.0.3.9pre4	GPL	A WindowMaker dock.app that displays CPU load as fire in a small icon.	wmfire is an eye-candy dock applet for Window Maker that displays generated fire, possibly according to how much load the system is experiencing, or from a number somewhere in a file. wmfire requires very little CPU. It has options for cyanish or orange/red flames, you can even set it to display your motherboard temperature through lm_sensors.
wmglobe	1.3	GPL	A WindowMaker dock.app that displays a rotating Earth in an icon	WMGlobe is a WindowMaker dock.app that displays a rotating Earth in an icon. It uses a map which is rendered on a sphere by raytracing. It is possible to spin the Earth, to zoom in and out, etc.
wmhdplop	0.9.0	GPL	Wmhdplop is yet another monitoring applet.	Wmhdplop is yet another dockapp for WindowMaker, or any windowmanager/desktop environment that handles dockapps (KDE has a dockbar extension, and gnome swallows). It monitors your hard-drives by sending visual stimuli to your cortex each time your /dev/hdx writes or reads anything. Try to launch openoffice and enjoy the wmhdplop show! (loading these kitties in mozilla also works). Features: * useless animation reflecting disc I/O. * another useless animation reflecting swap activity. * annoying blinking leds. * a textual information of your harddrive throughput. * display of the hd temperature if the hddtemp daemon is running.
wmmemmon	1.0.0	GPL	Mem/Swap monitoring dockapp for WindowMaker	Mem/Swap monitoring dockapp for WindowMaker. Outside circle is Mem usage in percent, inside is swap. It works fine with AfterStep and BlackBox.
wmnet	1.06	GPL	Applet that monitors the network	Wmnet uses ip accounting in the Linux kernel to monitor your network.
wmnetload	1.3	GPL	Network monitoring dockapp for WindowMaker	wmnetload is a network interface monitor dockapp for Window Maker. It is designed to fit well with dockapps like wmcpuload and wmmemmon. It tracks whether the interface is functioning and displays current network interface throughput, along with an auto-scaling graph of recent network activity (the graph separates upstream and downstream traffic load cleanly without resorting to colors).
wmnut	0.60	GPL	A wmaker dock app that displays UPS statistics from NUT's upsd.	A wmaker dock app that displays UPS statistics from NUT's upsd. WMNUT monitors UPS statistics through the NUT (Network UPS Tools, www.exploits.org/nut) framework on Linux and other systems. This information, presented in a nice visual format, can be invaluable on stations using an UPS.
wmpop3lb	2.0	GPL	WMPop3LB is a POP3 mail box checker	WMPop3LB is a multi POP3 accounts mailbox checker. It can connect to up to 6 POP3 accounts to check if you have mail, get the "From:" and "Subject:" header fields of each mail and display them in a 7 lines window. It can list up to 19 messages per server which can be read by scrolling the window up and down. Messages can be deleted directly off the servers by selecting the mails to delete and clicking the "delete" button. You may configure your .wmpop3rc either by hand or through the graphical utility called wmpop3lbcfg
wmsmixer	0.5.1	GPL	Dockapp sound mixer	This is a hack to wmmixer which makes some changes to the display and adds a few new features, most notably scrollwheel support. The main changes between this and wmmixer are: o Added scrollwheel support. If your scrollwheel is mapped to buttons 4 and 5, using it will increase/decrease the volume of the current channel. o Removed all the recsrc code. o Changed the display arrangement slightly, and replaced the recsrc button with a text display. This normally shows the volume of the current channel. o Added the setname configuration option, which allows you to give a different channel name (4 chars max) to the built in one if you wish. o Clicking on the channel icon will briefly display the text name for the channel. This is also displayed when you switch channels. o Mono channels have one wide bar rather than two thinner ones. o Changed some icons, and added a few new ones. Several icons are still to be o created. Any submissions are always welcome.
wmsmpmon	2.3	GPL	System information for Dual CPUs (memory, swap, cpu, IO) in a small dock app	Monitor your dual processor system, memory, swap, and IOs in a small dock app. It has been designed to work with wmaker, but nothing prevents it from being run under another window manager.
