Mandrake 10.0 - Sciences/Other

fityk 0.3.4 GPL Non-linear curve fitting and data analysis. Fityk is nonlinear curve-fitting and data analysis software. It allows data visualization, separation of overlapping peaks, and least squares fitting using standard Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm, a genetic algorithm, or Nelder-Mead simplex method. It only knows about common bell-shaped functions (Gaussian, Loretzian, Pearson 7, Voigt, Pseudo-Voigt) and polynomials, but more sophisticated formulae can be easily added if necessary. It also enables background substracting, data calibration and task automation with a simple script language. It is being developed to analyze powder diffraction patterns, but it can be used to fit analytical functions to any kind of data.
geda-gnetlist 20030901 GPL Netlister for the gEDA project. Gnetlist generates netlists from schematics drawn with gschem (the gEDA schematic editor). Possible output formats are: - spice netlists - verilog - tango
geda-gschem 20030901 GPL Electronics schematics editor. Gschem is an electronics schematic editor. It is part of the gEDA project.
geda-gsymcheck 20030901 GPL Electronics schematics editor. Gsymcheck is a utility to check symbols for gschem. It is part of the gEDA project.
geda-symbols 20030901 GPL Electronic symbols for gEDA. This package contains a bunch of symbols of electronic devices used by gschem, the gEDA project schematic editor.
geda-utils 20030901 GPL Netlister for the gEDA project. Several utilities for the gEDA project.
gnuplot 3.7.3 Freeware-like A program for plotting mathematical expressions and data. Gnuplot is a command-line driven, interactive function plotting program especially suited for scientific data representation. Gnuplot can be used to plot functions and data points in both two and three dimensions and in many different formats. Install gnuplot if you need a graphics package for scientific data representation.
grace 5.1.14 GPL Numerical Data Processing and Visualization Tool (Grace) Grace is a Motif/Lesstif application for two-dimensional data visualization. Grace can transform the data using free equations, FFT, cross- and auto-correlation, differences, integrals, histograms, and much more. The generated figures are of high quality. Grace is a very convenient tool for data inspection, data transformation, and for making figures for publications. NOTE: The help browser requires netscape or any browser linked to that executable name. Otherwise, help files are in /usr/share/doc, as usual.
gramps 1.0.1 GPL Genealogical Research and Analysis Management Programming System. gramps (Genealogical Research and Analysis Management Programming System) is a GNOME based genealogy program supporting a Python based plugin system.
gretl 1.2.0 GPL Econometric analysis Is a software package for econometric analysis, written in the C programming language. Is free software. You may redistribute it and/or modify it under the terms of the GNU General Public License (GPL) as published by the Free Software Foundation. Comprises a shared library, a command-line client program, and a graphical client built using GTK+. The library and command-line client should compile and run on any platform that supports ANSI C; the command-line client uses the GNU readline library if available. The graphical client should compile and run on any platform that in addition offers GTK+ version 1.2.3 or higher.
gtkwave 2.0.0 GPL GTKWave Electronic Waveform Viewer GTKWave is VCD/EVCD/LXT/Synopsis .out format electronic waveform viewer built using the GTK+ toolkit. GTKWave was originally developed by Tony Bybell but development has now passed to the Amulet group and we hope to extend and improve GTKWave to support new formats and features. Tony continues to add features to the 1.3 series, the latest release in this series is 1.3.21. GTKWave will hopefully also form the basis of some new visualisation tools for LARD.
klogic 1.403 GPL Klogic is a digital circuit simulation. Klogic is a digital circuit simulation.
libgdgeda6 2.0.15 LGPL Graphical libraries for the gEDA project Libgdgeda is a hack on libgd, which is a graphics library. It allows your code to quickly draw images complete with lines, arcs, text, multiple colors, cut and paste from other images, and flood fills, and write out the result as a .PNG file.
libgretl1 1.2.0 GPL Econometric analysis Is a software package for econometric analysis, written in the C programming language. Is free software. You may redistribute it and/or modify it under the terms of the GNU General Public License (GPL) as published by the Free Software Foundation. Comprises a shared library, a command-line client program, and a graphical client built using GTK+. OpenDX 4.3.2 IBM Public License IBM OpenDX (Data Explorer) OpenDX is a uniquely powerful, full-featured software package for the visualization of scientific, engineering and analytical data: Its open system design is built on a standard interface environments. And its sophisticated data model provides users with great flexibility in creating visualizations.
RLPlot 0.99b GPL Data Plotting and Graphing RLPlot is is a plotting program to create high quality graphs from data. Based on values stored in a spreadsheet several menus help you to create graphs of your choice. The Graphs are displayed as you get them (Wysiwyg). Double click any element of the graph (or a single click with the right mouse button) to modify its properties.
scigraphica 0.8.0 GPL Data analysis and technical graphics SciGraphica is a scientific application for data analysis and technical graphics. It pretends to be a clone of the popular commercial (and expensive) application "Microcal Origin". It fully supplies plotting features for 2D, 3D and polar charts. The aim is to obtain a fully-featured, cross-platform, user-friendly, self-growing scientific application. It is free and open-source, released under the GPL license.
